Being doused by squallish rain,
thrill to move out is weighing over the frown of thunder,
amidst prismed aura of twilight,
dusky clouds are gorgeous and tempting,
as if blackbee in mahua-bud!

The organization NHAI, particularly at its higher level, is run by administrative and technical support of officers of CES(roads) i.e. Central Engineering Services (Roads)cadre. These officers directly recruited through Engineering Services Exam of UPSC get their normal posting in Ministry of Road Transport & Highways where they are supposed to be groomed to lead the bureaucracy as well as becoming road experts too. Percentage of lengths of NH entrusted to NHAI out of total NH of country is 28.24 % which consists of important roads viz. GQ,E-W &N-S corridors, port connectivity roads etc, and rest being executed by BRO and states PWD under direct supervision of the Ministry through different nodal regional offices all over the country...
