रखूँ अक्षुण्ण,रखूँ अक्षुण्ण
रखूँ अक्षुण्ण ये अभ्रकुसुम
हिमकिरीट के फुनगी से
दीप्त मयूख के तारों तक,
रजनी के सुप्त बयारों से
अब्धि के उग्र ज्वारों तक,
हो प्रखर तुम्हारा विजयधुन,
रखूँ अक्षुण्ण ये अभ्रकुसुम|
खुशियों से लदी बहारों में
रहूँ मेलों में,श्रृंगारों में,
या शोकसिक्त गलियारों में,
सपनों के बुझे दियारों में,
माथे पे छाँव तिरंगा हो,
औ,रहे निरंतर भाव उष्म,
रखूँ अक्षुण्ण,रखूँ अक्षुण्ण
रखूँ अक्षुण्ण ये अभ्रकुसुम|

Rago me uf! Ufanata bhaap ka ubaal hai,
Dhadhak saanso me rahi ek aag hai,
Kya karegi ye dhuaayen,bauchhaaren,goliyaan
Kadamo me tumhare shoshako ki dhamkiyaan nirupaay hai|
Karo ropan chaturdik ek naye aadarsh ke aadhaar ka,
Vifal hai aas sinchan ka,kisi sudhaar ka|
Bharo ek loch bhi tamaam yantro ko hilaakar,
Pade hain aise asankhya murtvat au loshthvat,
Tajo neh pujan aise kachche viraasato se,
Ug na paaye dansh-vriksh ab itihaaso se|
Kshitij ko bhed kar dekho,
Maarg ek arunaabh hai,
Pidhi nayee hai,
Dahaadata pravaah hai|

रगों में उफ!उफनता भाप का उबाल है

रगों में उफ!उफनता भाप का उबाल है,
धधक सांसों में रही एक आग है,
क्या करेगी ये धुआँऐं,बौछारें,गोलियाँ
कदमों में तुम्हारे शोषकों की धमकियाँ निरूपाय है।
करो रोपन चतुर्दिक एक नये आदर्श के आधार का,
विफल है आस सिंचन का,किसी सुधार का|
भरो एक लोच भी तमाम यंत्रों को हिलाकर,
पङे है ऐसे असंख्य मूर्तवत् औ लोष्ठवत् ,
तजो नेह पूजन ऐसे कच्चे विरासतों से,
उग न पाये दंश-वृक्ष अब इतिहासों से।
क्षितिज को भेद कर देखो,
मार्ग एक अरूणाभ है,
पीढी नयी है,
दहाङता प्रवाह है।

The Dirge of Victim.. a streak of my sobbing ink..

Should I rejoice being the victim?

..or..

Should I just feel the suffering?..

I shall be face-capped forever but...

Many shall be the ‘face of cover’ for being the saviours too.

And many flaunting their sympathy..worthy of adulations.

Should i cherish it because it sprouted a progressive debate?

Should I cherish my forced ignominy?

Should I cherish the wrath of plunder on my body and soul?

Should I cherish the repair of the ravaged membranes too?...

Shall i live with the ‘fit to live’ certification?..

Just because I am a ‘lawful’ citizen!

A forgiving world !

He has been a ruthless perpetrator,
Also because of being adamant in a common belief,
“Closing condolences shall be sieved off from a true commentary ”
And this justice is equal for all mortals..
whether bad or good,
We are really living in a forgiving world!

चाह थी इक बूंद-ए-शबनम की,दर्द का दरिया मिला,
पूनम की रात में मुकम्मल अंधियारा मिला ।
थम सकता था मेरी आँखों से आबशारों का सिलसिला,
इश्तियाक-ए-यार था मेरी पलकों में तब सींचता हुआ ।

(Published in Economic Times of 11 july 2012) Let's have another perspective, hitherto unnoticed by most intellectuals, on the way the ministries are run in the country. Most departments can be headed by an officer who may not have devoted significant practice and time in that department so as to be confident enough to infuse motivation in the staff as far as technical experience and creative prowess are concerned. An example is Indian Railways that has its chairman who invariably gets groomed in the same organisation. We are in an era where 'expertise-oriented administration' has become a crying need for the nation. Generalist-led administration of any particular department should be occupied by politicians only, such as ministers heading departments that are generally supposed to have political vision. Such systems would certainly not result into stymying the desired research and technical excellence of the department. In the changing milieu of increasing competitiveness and professional dynamism, this thought process must be imbibed in earnest.
